Another great Eastgate Evening at our 6th AGM, Awards and Quiz night. Thanks to everyone who turned out.

Most Improved Rider:-
Winner: Richard Davies (31% of the votes)
Honorable mentions: Andrea Vincze (24%), Tim Jones (14%), Barry Wotten (10%), Ben Brown (10%), Colin Reader (7%), Dave Jones (3%)

Biggest Club Contributor:-
Winner: Grant Stevens (45% of the votes)

We also announced the result in the vote for our preferred club charity with overwhelming support to continue with the Great Western Air Ambulance (76%)

Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to make a nomination and everybody who took time to cast their votes.

We welcomed two new Honorary Life Members recognising Sam Lewis’s invaluable effort getting the club started in the very beginning and Heidi Kelly’s magnificent contribution since becoming a formally constituted club and 6 years as club secretary.

Thanks are also due to Paul Nurden for his very entertaining and thought provoking Pub Quiz! Who would have thought Shaun’s Army career would have made him an expert in the shipping forecast!

We’re not sure what happened to Paul’s “Trusty Sidekick” for his guest round. Not so trusty after all but I don’t imagine anyone will mention it DiBs ;-)

Lee from Elmrep popped by to drop off drinking bottles for all members. If you didn’t get to grab one last night there are plenty in a box at the Farmers Club and there’ll be another box left at Graeme’s shop too.

With Heidi stepping down, we had a vacancy for club secretary and are grateful to Richard Davies for volunteering for the role. With no other candidates, Richard was elected unopposed and we look forward to him taking on the role with gusto.

Colin Reader volunteered to take up the resulting Chilled Group representative and was likewise elected unopposed. Welcome to the team Colin.

All other posts were uncontested and re-elected.
