For a great send off!

As usual the AGM was the traditional mix of appropriate brevity and efficiency discharging the formalities, followed by a quiz participated with peculiar passion and lively ebullience, especially considering the prize was something money can’t buy (literally a worthless concept) and was a lot of fun!

I’m also really touched by the kind words in the card, and on the night, showing an appreciation for my contribution as Chair. It is a role I have mostly enjoyed and have immense pride for the club we have and look forward to many more years of riding together.

As well as the touching messages in the card, thank you too for the fine wine which I shall savour and your votes for this year’s biggest contribution award!

I am very grateful for the support I’ve had from all the committee members we’ve had since we formally constituted 8 years ago, and have every confidence in the committee moving forward and wish Bernard and the team all the best as they strive to take the club onwards and upwards.
