Another Wednesday ride, and another "well, what can I say?"
The day threw down heavy rain and beautiful sunshine in equal measure, which might have put a few off, but those who braved it were treated to an absolute cracker. Aside from a few lingering patches of flooded road, the tarmac was bone dry and made for some excellent cycling all round.
A massive welcome back to Trudi! It was her first ride with us in a long time, and it was great to see her back in the bunch and rolling with the groups again.
On the road, there were no major disasters to report, save for one classic "dick move" from a passing motorist. For reasons unknown, they chose the exact moment they passed a group to wash their almost certainly pristine windscreen. Stay classy.
We are officially heading out of spring and into summer now, which means the racing calendar is packed for both the pros and us mere mortals. If you have the time, make sure you get involved with the Sunday rides—the Hill Cake Festival last weekend was practically rivalling Glastonbury in terms of popularity!
